Claire E Siegmund

Claire Siegmund of Yardley, PA formally of Parsippany, NJ passed peaceably away on Monday January 22nd.  Claire was born on July 29, 1932 in Orange, New Jersey and raised by her mother Catherine and her very Italian family.  Upon graduation from high school she worked as a medical receptionist spending time at the Jersey shore where she met her future husband Chuck. Claire was an extremely social person who most enjoyed her husband, children and especially her cherished grandchildren.  She also reveled in the company of her many friends.  Claire was well known for her ability to meet people and know their life story within 10 minutes of meeting them. She loved to cooked for family and friends often hosting elaborate dinners but she was celebrated for her meatball sandwich meals for 40 or 50 people at a time where all came away thoroughly stuffed and very happy. Claire was involved in numerous social and volunteer activities including the Parsippany Hills Athletic Booster Association in support of her sons, The Barn Theater in Boonton, NJ, local high school theater productions, and the Sedgefield Follies.  One of her joys in life was attending as many Broadway shows as possible.   There was never a situation where she couldn’t come up with a Broadway song and she never heisted to sing it as loud as she could. Later on her summer months were spent at her beloved cabin in Maine where she enjoyed the beach, the woods and most importantly hosting the many family members and friends that visited.  Claire was predeceased by her husband Charles (Chuck).  She is survived by her four sons and their spouses (Scott and Carol, Dirk and Tracy, Keith and Randi and Steven and Kristin), and her most prized relations, her seven grandchildren (Kathryn, Michael, Matthew, Meghan, Emily, Shane and Jordan.)   She is also survived by her 3 Sisters, 2 brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 1– 3 pm at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Funeral service will begin at 2 pm. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of her name to the Alzheimer’s Association or your local community theater.
